From Ice cream to cheesecake, we got you covered. Market Place stands out for great desserts in a beautiful setting. A great place for a date or a sophisticated meeting, the Market Place is all class. Try the Dark Chocolate & dulce de leche cake – dulce de leche is like a caramel flavored cream that is popular in South America.


Marble Slab

The Marble slab is classic ice cream at its best.  Offering a huge selection of ice cream and toppings that they mix together right in front of you, Marble slab is also a great hang out spot for after dinner in downtown Asheville. Mix in your favorite candy and toppings to your favorite ice cream and enjoy. It can get crowded around dinner time but it’s worth the wait.

Kilwins makes homemade chocolate, fudge and caramel covered apples! You can even smell the goodness from the street. Try the “turtle fudge”, which has pecans and caramel and salt, or try the peanut butter fudge. Also, don’t miss the homemade cashew brittle and the caramel apples. They have the best caramel apples in Asheville.


French Broad Chocolates

The French Broad Chocolate Lounge is probably the hippest place to be in Asheville after dinner. In the recently renovated historic building on pack square, the chocolate lounge is one of the best dessert spots anywhere around. Lines typically snake out the door onto the sidewalk. They make their own chocolate truffles, and their cakes and desserts are legendary. They also have beer and wine and unique chocolate drinks – like iced chocolate. They also have a little shop for buying their chocolates to-go, that’s just around the corner and usually never a long line. Try the truffles!


The Southern
41 North Lexington Ave

The southern features one of the best outdoor patios in town. Located on Lexington Avenue in the middle of all the action, you can people watch all the crazy Asheville nightlife from the patio. The desserts are classic and great, especially with a cocktail. Try the Brownie or the cheesecake.
